Incoming, Pilots! A new major update will be deployed for War Robots: Frontiers following a short period of maintenance on June 17, 2025. This update will introduce Season 2: Power Surge, and a host of new content and quality-of-life updates. New Content Season 2: Power Surge The battle for Terminus continues. Despite the ongoing blockade, Pilots have adapted and found new sources of supplies. Some have learned to scavenge and build, while others have turned to smuggling. But just as life on Tortuga seems to be getting back on track, the Warp network collapses, paralyzing all activities in the Wild Ten. With everything at stake, it’s up to the Pilots to fix what's broken. War Robots: Loki & Mesa Loki (Unlockable via the Scavenger’s Hunt Battle Pass & Daily Deals): Trickster by name, trickster by nature. Loki's ability to use holographic projections makes it an excellent infiltrator and scout. Its armor is strong for its class, and its anti-shield firepower means it can easily take on flankers, though it should avoid encounters with heavier foes. Add Loki to your Drop Team and see what this stealthy War Robot can do. Mesa (Unlockable via the Spark of Ingenuity Battle Pass & Daily Deals from July 29): Defend ‘til the end with Mesa, a strong defender with amazing ally-protecting abilities. Deploy barriers to shield Mesa and its teammates from projectiles, or unleash a biotech drone that follows alongside it, buffing allies and weakening enemies in the area. Titan: Volta Volta (Unlockable via account progression at Level 50): Turn up the voltage. This live wire Titan is the first quadruped to be built on Tortuga, and it’s as aggressive as it is electrifying. With its ability to double jump and hover, these new traversal capabilities are sure to set Volta apart from other Titans on the battlefield. Activate its electric weapon, generate a moving barrier, or block projectiles and deal damage to enemies foolish enough to pass through. Game Mode: Spearhead Powerslide into a brand-new game mode: Spearhead. Two teams fight over randomly spawning Warp Probes to stabilize Warp in the region. Locate and capture them first to earn Points! Hit the Points cap, stay ahead, or eliminate all enemies to win. Starting with Season 2: Power Surge, all Battle Pass rewards will be available to unlock from day one. Earn those Battle Tokens to be among the first Pilots to construct Loki! Additionally, Intel can now be obtained from the Battle Pass for free. You can earn up to 200 Intel through free progression, a crucial resource used to upgrade your best Builds. We’ve also rebalanced the Battle Pass and Free progression to give you even more Credits, Salvage, and Intel throughout the Pass. You can still complete at least one full Shipment (plus change) without upgrading your Pass, but Free progression will not award enough Battle Tokens to obtain the Torso or Chassis Modules on Shipment 2 and beyond. However, keep an eye on Daily Deals, and you can spend your Credits on the Modules and Weapons you seek! A new Battle Pass will launch on July 29: Spark of Ingenuity. Be sure to collect all your rewards in Scavenger’s Haul before this date! Battle Pass Content Available in Daily Deals War Robots and Weapons will now launch in Daily Deals at the same time they’re available in the Battle Pass! This change is designed to give Pilots more options for unlocking battle gear, without having to spend WarpReals. With the launch of Season 2: Power Surge, Loki Modules and the Halo Weapon are now available in Daily Deals, along with Scorpion Modules and the Tusk Weapon from Season 1: Blockade. Hero Pilot: Sora Sing Unleash the sparky Sora Sing (available in the Store) as your War Robot’s new Pilot. This infamous femme fatale has found herself with a public persona she may not deserve, taking the fall for war crimes which saw her stripped of her citizenship, and expatriated to the Wild Ten—the only place that would take her. While her fellow Pilots may not trust her just yet, her talents hit all the high notes, and her ability to reload faster and boost damage (among others) make her a more than capable Pilot. Remember, it’s not over until the Sora sings… Map Updates: Spectrum & Fissure Both Spectrum and Fissure have received a massive facelift, along with better weather setups and improved terrain readability. Weekly Jobs Weekly jobs now reset every Thursday instead of Sunday's Balancing Adjustments General Destroying a Titan now yields 60% less Cycle Gear Charge Points. Destroying a Titan in Warp Rush and Last Robot Standing now yields 45% less Titan Charge Points. Destroying a Titan in Team Deathmatch (TDM) now yields 10% less Titan Charge Points. Destroying a Robot now yields 11% more Titan Charge Points. Increased the amount of Titan Charge Points earned when your last War Robot is destroyed. Gear Minefield (Cycle Gear) Mines now spawn below the player who activates the Gear. Mines that are deployed are invisible to enemy players. A mine detonates when an enemy War Robot steps on it, dealing damage over an area and slowing the enemy down. The slowing effect does not increase on repeated mine detonations. The mine spread has been reduced. War Robots can no longer pass through the minefield without triggering an explosion. Reduced the Gear recharge from 280 to 220. Reflector (Cycle Gear) Incoming damage is no longer absorbed, only reflected. The rate of returned damage has been increased from 50% to 60% at level 13. Spotlight (Cycle Gear) Reduced the Gear recharge from 220 to 180. Umbrella (Cycle Gear) Reduced the Gear recharge from 220 to 180. Weapons General Weapons with area-of-effect damage no longer penetrate barriers, structures, or terrain. Fowler Increased the rate of fire from 75 RPM to 80 RPM. Reduced the required time until maximum Weapon charge from 1.2 seconds to 1.1 seconds. Increased damage to Armor from 6,540 to 6,800. Increased the projectile spread when uncharged by 20%. Pulsar Increased magazine size from 28 to 32. Dragoon Increased the rate of fire from 40 RPM to 44 RPM. Increased damage to Armor from 4,866 to 5,280. Gemini Changed the projectile behavior: rockets now stabilize more quickly. The projectiles’ collision radius has been significantly increased to better match the projectile visuals. Added Splash Damage to the rockets: hitting a Module will now deal 660 damage to Armor on adjacent modules. Increased damage to Armor from 7,500 to 8,160. Increased the damage of Tesla Coil from 10,000 to 13,500. Pilot Talents Deflector Gizmo Incoming damage is no longer absorbed, only reflected. Increased the rate of reflected damage from 15% to 30%. Increased the Talent cooldown from 7 seconds to 10 seconds. Ricochet The chance of Ricochet taking effect has been reduced from 10% to 5%. General Adjustments Matchmaking Previously, players were matched based on their win rate. With this update, we will base it first on League Points, then on win rate to ensure more evenly balanced matchmaking. We have added an unranked matchmaking group for players at Level 7–14. Players will be matched with Bronze League starting at Level 15. Leagues League placements will be reset, and ranks will be adjusted for Season 2: Players ranked in Silver will start in Bronze. Players ranked in Gold will start in Silver. Players ranked in Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, or Noachium will start in Gold. League Points will be set according to your new League placement: Bronze = 0 League Points Silver = 300 League Points Gold = 600 League Points Additionally, the amount of League Points needed to reach Noachium has been increased to 4,000 League Points. Store The Store now includes a section to display the chances for items to appear in Daily Deals. Added a dynamic cost to refreshing Daily Deals, along with the first refresh being in Credits. The refreshing cost resets daily. First Refresh: 700 Credits Second Refresh: 15 WarpReals Third Refresh: 25 WarpReals Fourth Refresh: 35 WarpReals Fifth Refresh and above: 45 WarpReals Players will now be redirected to the Store when attempting to purchase an item with insufficient currency. Hangar, Workshop & Warehouse Filtering/sorting options will now persist after crafting or upgrading an item. Newly acquired items will now include a “NEW” icon. Added a hint message under the War Robot that provides information about why it can’t be assembled. Added a “Disassemble” button to Factory Builds. Added a “Go Back to Editing” button that appears when removing a War Robot from the Hangar. This allows players to continue working on a Build instead of being forced to revert or save the changes. Added acquisition details for Modules. Added an “Install to Hangar” button when editing a Robot Build. Improved the camera behavior in the Workshop and Warehouse. Navigation lines pointing to modules when building a War Robot have been improved in the workshop. War Robot and Titan icons in the Factory have been updated. Player Progression Expanded the player account progression. The maximum player level has been increased to 95. Item rewards through the level progression now display item descriptions. General Swapping or adding War Robots in the Hangar tab now displays a quick-select menu highlighting completed builds called "Battle-Ready Robots”. Crew Codes have been shortened for better ease of use. Crew codes now only include digits and Latin characters. Players will be shown visual feedback when accepting a Squad Invitation. Added showcase videos to Weapons and Gear in the Warehouse, Store, Battle Pass, and Level Progression screens. Module Switch Tabs/Hotkeys have been added to the Customize Robot User Interface. Pilot Talents are now displayed in a tabular format within the Talent window. Added in-world descriptions to cosmetic items. Added acquisition details to Currencies. Added explanations about Cycle Gear & Supply Gear in the Gear Info Panel. Added shortcuts for items that have been obtained to make it easier for players to efficiently use them immediately. Added a shortcut that allows players to immediately add a new Factory Build or Titan to their Hangar if they received one. Added a shortcut that allows players to immediately open the Warehouse if they have received a new Pilot. Added a shortcut that allows players to immediately craft a newly received Blueprint. Added a shortcut that allows players to immediately open the Battle Pass if they received a Battle Pass Token. All Common Pilots now look unique from one another, featuring different coloured suits and helmets. Added new Combat Reactions for Common Pilots. Reworked the “Battle Help” screen (pressing F1 during a match). Server Maintenance notifications will now be displayed in the main menu ahead of upcoming downtime. The Smart Ping Wheel has been improved for better ease of use. The keybinding for the Smart Ping Wheel can be reassigned. Bots will now replace players when they leave a match. A player can rejoin the match within a certain amount of time and continue fighting. If the player is gone for too long, they will be replaced by a bot until the end of the match. Match rewards are counted accordingly. Players that have not yet connected to a match are greyed out in the pre-match screen. Added a voice chat activation prompt. Added a notification that confirms a purchase and lists the items that have been purchased. Adjusted some sound effects for weapon reloading and various user interfaces. Technical Improvements General Improved haptic feedback and gamepad vibrations in combat. Improved and reworked points across all maps where Robots could get stuck. Players are now able to link their Facebook account without linking an email address. Sound Improved the overall sound balance in the game. All sound effects, from the sounds of mechanics to gunfire and movement, have become cleaner, clearer, and more realistic for better immersion. Resolved various bugs where sounds could overlap or stick under certain circumstances. Reworked the SFX of Purifier’s Zealot (Core Gear). Added new sound effects informing players that a Titan is ready to spawn. Visual Improved visuals of the Catalyst map. Improved lighting in the Hangar. Improved Weapon and Gear VFX. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug where certain weapons and abilities did not show hit markers when hitting a target. Fixed a bug where installing an owned Module in a Robot Build did not update the holographic preview. It would remain red and only update after exiting editing. Fixed a bug where upgrading Grim’s weapon “Katzbalger” would be more expensive than other Titan weapons. Fixed a bug where the charging animation of the weapon “Fowler” would continue after the weapon was fully charged. Fixed a bug where an empty notification box would be displayed when saving a Robot build. Fixed a bug where the projectiles of the weapon “Gemini” would occasionally explode right after firing. Fixed a bug where Jetpack fire VFX would continuously come out of the War Robot’s exhaust vents. Fixed a bug where Infinite Ammo (Supply Gear) would occasionally last indefinitely.
